New bike suggestions for commuting

Hopefully going to be able to cycle to work soon. Around 8 miles each way and considering options. Have an old on one inbred for town use atm but really want drop bars on it.

Any suggestions for a new bike. Dont want to spend a lot say £700. Ideal would be drop bars. Hub gears. Dyno light and must take rack and mud guards

Thanks

You're most of the way there with a Day One with Alfine, it just lacks the dynamo.  Word of warning though - I commuted on a Day One for a couple of years and the equipment (bar the stock brakes) was good, however the frame itself was a very harsh feeling, almost wooden. The spring of steel was nowhere to be felt, it was just dead.

Thanks. The dyno is less critical then the hub. That genesis looks ideal. Just need to convince the other half. Anyone want to buy a genesis mantle 20 may need to reduce the bike count

I can't think of anything with drop bars a chub gears, but then my knowledge is fairly limited.

Mice been looking for a similar bike at a similar price. A Genesis and Whyte are top of my list at the moment.
