Guildford Town Centre Races 2010 - Wednesday July 7th
The Guildford Town Centre Races take place on Wednesday (7th July) in the centre of Guildford from 7pm with Regional B, Youth and National B races. This year we have had a HUGE advanced entry and reached a point a couple of weeks ago where the Regional B and National B races are completely full and even the Youth race (which usually has only a few advanced entries) has almost got a full field - just 4 places left on the night (contact the race organiser if you want to take one of these places).
It promises to be a great event with a fabulous atmosphere, great racing and this year the Cycleworks MTB Jump Display taking place place just outside the course at various points during the evening.

BBC weather forecasts a light shower at 7pm !!! Just in time to make the cobbles nice and slippery then.
For anyone planning on driving in and parking. The council recently introduced a £1 parking fee between 6.00pm and 10.00pm; so if you parked for free last year, this time beware.
A move to encourage evening visitors and trade - not!
Lets hope so this year, we've had too many bad weather years recently. Looking good at the moment though
