Trying ordering baselayers from Australia-when I was over there the rash vests had some UV protection added to them.
Or make sure you pick your parents e.g. Father from carribean and

Hideous. Utterly hideous. And they won't protect the back of your neck. Just get yourself some proper SPF and use this as a lesson.

not a bad idea but they look a bit baggy, maybe okay for leisure/offroading but you can get tighter fit ones for road riding. craft do some i think.
if you underestimated the sun you wouldn't have brought your cycling sleeves either, surely?
