I don't think I would be pairing 11 speed shifters with 10 speed mechs. There is sufficient confusion already as Campag 11 speed pull changed in 2015 so stuff before that wont work satisfactorily with later stuff, at least for Chorus. There is nothing more annoying than your bike dropping out of gear.
But, doesn't the rear mech just move in/out and up/down? Its ideally a smooth motion adjusted by the pull of the shifters, thus it shouldn't really matter what is making the mech move. I would have throught the biggest issues would be ensuring there's enough in the limiter screws for in/out so it doesn't hit the spokes, and up/down so there's enough clearance for the chain to clear the cassette.
This.
Campagnolo themselves explicitly say in their installation videos NOT to mix and match 11-speed stuff from 2015 and any year prior. 2015 components have a squared "A" in relief.
The videos are all readily available on YouTube.

Sounds like its a good bet then, although the athena is 11 speed with standard shifters. Problem is im just gathering parts together ready whilst waiting for my steel frame to be built so wont have much opportunity to try things out before handing over to lbs for the build. Might chance it.
I have a Comp Triple connected to 10 speed Record levers working with a 13-29 and 52-39-30 and it works fine. Mech and levers were eBay bargains, chainset was a Merlin bargain...
Sheldon suggests that any post-2001 Campag deraiilleur works with any speed of shifters:

Buy a second hand one and give it a try?
Great info thanks, definately worth a try. Ebay time.....
