Looking for small, cheap cx-y bike or frameset

Been looking on eBay & Gumtree for a while, but nothing's really caught my eye (and my budget - sub £300). I struggle walking and need a dog-walking bike so I'm not trashing my road bike on muddy trails.

Around 48cm (stack & reach on my current ride are 523 & 368, not wanting anything longer than that). Open to a cheap junior bike e.g. Forme Formeula or similar.

I have odds and ends to build a frameset up, so that's not a problem. So, if anyone sees anything, please let me know here or tweet me (@_dottigirl_).

Much obliged, ta.

I have a CX frame in a small or x small which I brought second hand to make into a bike, which has never seen the light of day.. Would have taken you up on this, thanks, but I've checked the geometry chart and even the small is too long on the top tube (effective - there's no stack and reach figures). There doesn't seem to be an XS?

(Having bought three bikes previously which turned out to be too big, I'm a lot more cautious now.)

I've a charge Plug 5 for my general commuting/hack/cx/bad weather bike. The Frames (including the XS) are £129 on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHARGE-PLUG-5-CYCLOCROSS-COMMUTER-BIKE-BICYCLE... . Rides really nice and takes 38mm tyres. Perfect for hacking about on Wimbledon common/Richmond park on the way too and from work.  Fairly swift and smooth on the road too.

Mango Point AR frameset in small has stack of 549 and reach of 371, so you could probably make that work by keeping the saddle low and shortening the stem, which might be no bad thing offroad anyway.  £269 plus £14.80 shipping.  Aluminium frame, post mounts for disc brakes, big tyre clearance, mudguard mounts.
