I run new Tiagra 10spd with a 105 11spd chainset as I wanted a double. No issues whatsoever and I set it up no different to any other chainset.
I use 6800 Ultegra (11s) front crank and 6800 FD with 6700 10 sp rear derailleur. No issues.
Thanks for the replys guys. Hoping to get all setup this week ,new chain, bottom bracket ,and chainset. Shall be climbing over The Serra Candeeieros In Portugal.

Most chainsets don't really care how many cogs you run at the back. Don't worry about chainset compatibility.
I'm told Campagnolo seems to be exception, but that's irrelevant to your case.
3rd picture of the bike shame about the chainset good service over 5 years![indecision indecision](/sites/all/themes/rcc/images/smilies/20.gif)

Hi Steve thanks for your kind response, sending some pictures of the chain stretch, 1st picture on the 0.75% chain marker tool just about fits inside the chain.
2nd pic its sits on top on of the chain the 1.00% mark.
Should work. My winter bike is all 11 speed 5800 105 but with the 10 speed 5700 crankset. Bugger all difference as far as I can tell.
Should all work fine.
Might want to check chain stretch. old chains can jump a fair bit on new chain rings
