If I could design a perfect air horn for my commute bike...
Roughly the same size/shape as a typical front light - able to be bar mounted. Powered by a CO2 cartridge so no need for a large pressure vessel.
A fully shrouded design would look a lot slicker too, just like a front light.
The real problem I have with an air horn (I don't use one but I feel often it'd be VERY useful) is where it's placed.
The majority of the time I would require the use of an air horn, I am also having to brake to avoid a collision. With drop bars, this means I would be unable to brake and use the horn.
put the air reservoir in the fork steerer tube instead, then you dont need to run an air hose along the top tube
Similar to Airzound? If so that can definitely be improved - it's quite unreliable I hear.
They are highly reliable at scaring the shit out of Mechanics concentrating deeply - lacing a wheel for instance.
If you can integrate a pump into it, such that bumping over rough ground re-charges it, that would be neat, as you'd also get some comfort from the air spring.
