Bike storage / display in the garage

Does anyone have experience of these CLUG wall mounts?  I have a couple of the Cycloc ones (flowerpot like) which work well but they are not cheap at £60 but don't want to save on a mount that drops my beloved bike

Yeah, I got some when they were on kickstarter a couple of years ago. Look great, but as HurdyGurdy says - fully pumped tyres at all times. I've had a bike come out and fall over just from air seeping out of latex tubes overnight. Solution is one of those reusable cable ties screwed behind the Clug.

Collection of clugs in our garrage  - work ok though make sure you don't need to walk past them as a slight brush will disturb the well balanced locking mech.

One thing - keep your tires pressurised as the clipping mechanism becomes less efficient as pressure drops. Had a slow puncture and woke up one night thinking someone was in the house nicking bikes and was just one bike that fell back with flat front .

They are very partner friendly though as the other half complimented me on the cool storage solution!

I use the big screw-in plastic coated hooks they sell in B&Q etc.  Cheap, flexibe (you can use them on celings or walls) and totally reliable.  On a good day, available in packs of two in the pound shop. http://www.screwfix.com/p/smith-locke-heavy-duty-screw-in-anti-slip-roun...

I use these for all my bikes (and Park tools do a nice blue version for about £2.50 for 2 if you want to stick with the tried and tested bike maintainence brand) and never had any problems with them. A little tricky to get the 50mm areo rims in but doable with practice.
