I owned Genesis Equlibrium Disc version (725 Reynolds) and was a lovely bike. This one must be even better. I'd say 1000-1300 region.
I think the frame and fork, albeit couple of years old, are worth at least around 700-800. I think the quality of the frame is pretty high, maybe not Enigma levels - but surely as good as Kinesis if not better. You have 105 groupset and some nice bits (saddle, seatpost etc.). Not sure about wheels.
I'm not in the market for such a bike, but please don't sell it below 1000 :(.
Looks like a nice bike for winter. I'm just getting my ti bike out now so arguably a good time to sell but it'll be a loss- making exercise unless you can buy well 2nd hand too. In terms of clearance I'm surprised you don't get a bit more esp with long drop brakes. I can get a little more with mudguards (a 'large' 28) on my kinesis gf ti but geometry is racier and you've already said you prefer your Genesis.
Happy shopping!
Must you sell now? I feel like selling it in the spring will net an extra ~£200.
Is that a no to the £500?
Sorry, it is a no.
As others have said, it's a perfect winter bike and not to shabby for a summer bike either.
Difficult to know your motivation for selling from what you've written but as a solid machine that can handle most situations it's difficult to look much further. is it that you are wanting disc brakes and/or something a bit racier?
As for tyre fitment 28mm was the stock fit for 2014 and I've read you can just about squeeze a 33mm tyre in without guards.
price wise, with the 5800 group and the handbuilt wheels that helps but the market is tough for second hand sales unless you have something proper bling. £1100-£1200 and put it on CUK forum as that is likely where you'd get best price and people who are mostly looking for this type of thing.
It takes a 25mm on that rim so measures around 27mm. Not bad with full guards.
Thank you all for your advice. It has been most helpful.
Kinesis Tripster Ti with wide tyres, internal routing and disc brakes.
Depending if you're in a rush, strip it and sell as individual parts
What sie tyres will it take? I see it has long drop brakes, does that mean 28s with guards or 25s?
Looks good btw but I'd guess £1,000 +/-, winter bikes are usually at the lower end of the price spectrum. If you could call it a gravel bike then more but I guess that's why you're changing?
I'll give you 500
I'd guess £1,000 to £1,200?
It is a super bike. Although one of the cheaper titanium frames, it is double butted and has some really nice and subtle tube shapes. In my opinion better than a Kinesis GF.
Why sell? I am looking at a bike with different geometry and wider tyre clearance. No other reason as I do like this bike.
why sell it at all>??? its a beauty!
Why are you selling it? Surely it's a perfect bike for winter?
2 year old bike, entry level Ti frame, with 105, you won't get what you want that's for sure. I'd estimate a grand..
Pictured below. Will come with matching Genesis fork, not the one pictured.
