Help finding an article

To all denizens of road.cc

I'm hunting for a link which I'm convinced was posted either somewhere in the forum or under an article. I've obviously looked and looked but had no luck so I'm hoping the hive mind will do better.

The link was to a blog post (I think written by the commenter themselves) giving very useful advice on what to do if dissatisfied with the reponse of the police after an incident. A relative of mine was recently involved in a collision and so far the police response has been glacial at best.

I'm hoping someone else remembers the location of the link, or any advice on how to motivate/complain about the police would be appreciated.

If you're new please join in and if you have questions pop them below and the forum regulars will answer as best we can.

Mark Hambleton is road.cc's resident blogger on all things legal:

https://road.cc/content/contributor/mark-hambleton

However a quick scan of the titles of his blogs suggests that <jedi>these are not the blogs you are looking for</jedi>

I presume you have tried road.cc's own search tool (far right on the menu).  But have you tried using Google to search for keywords within the site?  You can tell google to only return results from a given site - for instance to find mentions of squirrels on road.cc you would enter this into Google search:

site:road.cc squirrels

Cheers Cygnus, I've tried both road.cc search and google without luck. Although I always read Mark's articles, the blog I'm looking for is an external link

I have experience of Avon & Somerset police and you can raise a complaint online: https://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact-us/complaints/

I would imagine that most UK regional police would have something similar.

Thanks. If the force we're dealing with do in fact have a similar facility, they've squirrelled it away somewhere deep in their website and I haven't found it yet

This took place in England in case that makes a difference legally/procedurally
