Fitting ultegra RX-800 deraileur to a Pinnacle Arkose

Hello,

I've just spent some time fitting an ultegra RX-800 to my Arkose.  It doens't seem to play that friendly with the mech hanger.  Does this look right?

The original mech was a 105.

I believe the correct term is 'dork disc'.

Thank you for your valuable input.  I have taken it off my road bike, but considering this bike gets ridden down various bumpy tracks I thought I'd leave it on.

Can you explain what harm it is doing?

Looks like my Ultegra RX mech 1

They (including the new R9100 R8000 R7000 rear mechs) do sit very differently to the "old" style 5800/6800.

Great, thanks. I've been for a 50km test ride on roads and gravel tracks and it all worked very well.   1

You'll enjoy the quiet chain with having a clutch.

It is very quiet!  I was surprised at the difference even just riding on roads.

Does it shift okay?

post 4 pictures with derailleur on 11cog and easy cog both in small chain ring and large chain ring.   The common issue would be too long or short chain

It shifts fine in the stand, I'll go for a test ride tomorrow.  The chain was a bit long, but I've shortened it now and all looks okay.  I was more wondering about the direction of the bracket between the hanger and the mechanism itself.  The 105 I took off didn't have this extra bracket piece.

Looking at the pics on here:-

I would say it looks about right. But I'm no expert.
