Noooooo!
http://road.cc/content/news/5707-breaking-leipheimer-out-tour-broken-wrist
Why couldn't it have been Igor?
I was threatening the leaders despite Gesink going home pointless, but now I've lost Leipheimer to the same injury. Wonder if it's too late to draft in the Pope...
heh! Go Heinrich!
Two down now, Gesink and Fellieu - seemed I picked the wrong brother....
i suspect PELLIZOTTI and CAV are the only ones keeping me in the top ten, just.
and that Andy SCHLECK dont seem to be up to much except a rather fancy rear wheel change in todays stage..which i dont think i get points for.
Menchov was a bad bad choice for me...what is he now, 25 minutes down!? Wiggins doe 6 points is a bargain.
Although...yesterdays stage could give me a few more points, what with pelizotti and astarloza.
I can probably find some energy gels to throw into the prize pot.
I expect my lead to come crashing down either today or on saturday.
Anyone having any problems getting on the Velogames site? I've tried a few times today and I'm getting an access forbidden message
Same here.
I thought it was due to my teams poor performance...
Im getting the same...
Anyone know what a '403 Forbidden' error message means?
Has Danilo di Luca hacked into their database and re-set the permissions or summat?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_403
Stupid firewall not letting me in to the site
It's not letting anyone in Jimmy
It's back! My late charge up the table has begun. This is the day David Moncoutie has been saving himself for, you mark my words!
i'm putting in a surprisingly solid performance but i'm not going to win. i am the wiggo of the league
I thought I'd use my knowledge to pick a balanced team of tough experienced domestiques, promising young climbers, daring breakaway artists and dark horses.
Then I read the scoring system and thought sod it, let's have Contador, Cavendish, Cancellara and Andy Schleck; and it seems to be working as I move up to Mr. Burrage's back wheel
ahhh.. over taken by T.Farrelly and co on the leader board, if Cav gets the stage win on sunday i may just stay at No. 10.
this is more exciting than the second week of the tour!
I wish I'd got him instead of some of the slackers on my list..
your not the only one with him either, a fixie TdF..what with a radio ban on tomorrows stage it could be next, shades of 1903 all over again.
I also feel your pain!
I can agree with that one too!
I agree the points scoring system lacks sophistication - no marks for style, and it seems fixated on rewarding people who win stuff rather than the unsung heroes* who do so much to make the Tour the legendary sporting event that it is.
*that'll be most of my team then
Im getting nothing from garate and menchov...hope they come good in the mountains.
looks like i'm consolidating that mid table slot
5th place, excellent. Igor Anton isn't scoring me alot of points though. Still, I await the mountains to begin.
Moncoutie too needs to start trying harder too!
Maybe we should organise a real life race meeting encompassing a TT, long(er) ride, then some cyclo-speedway? Could be fun.....?!
2nd after 3 stages! Whoop.
Team ChainGang =
Franck SCHLECK
Kim KIRCHEN
Cyril DESSEL
Igor ANTON
Mark CAVENDISH
Jens VOIGT
David MILLAR
Fabian CANCELLARA
Levi LEIPHEIMER
They always seem to be a day behind though… maybe they'll catch up on the rest day. Moncoutie is definitely looking a liability for me, although maybe he and Voeckler are saving themselves for Bastille day
movin' on up...
Wheeeeeeeeee....free falls down the table!
