My daily commute bike (tbf it is my only bike) - a Voodoo Limba.

23km a day. Up to 4,700km since new.
Put anti-puncture tyres on it, mud guards and clipless pedals.

It's been great for my commute - I was only supposed to cycle a few days a week, but I've been doing five days a week for a year and a half now. Never want to go back to driving!

Just picked up this little beauty. A little delayed waiting for the various accessories (delayed by the flooding in Italy apparently).

Garage bike? The sort of seller your mother warned you about? This is the cockpit of a Barracuda Team Replica, donated to the Repair Cafe. 700x23s with schrader valves, 7x3 gears and, er these twist grip shifters.  The stem seems stuck, I've had the bolt right out, given it a bash or two.

Got this Decathlon folding bike cheap on eBay. This is now my 5th bike, and probably my last one for a while.

Planning to use it for situations where I want to drive somewhere then cycle the last few miles - going to a music festival later this year and the park and ride bus is about £30 per day, but there's free parking 3 miles away from the venue.

£499.00 from millets. I just had a small space in my bike shed to fit it in. Too cheap to leave on the shelf 🤣

After posting my Cinelli in Nov 2020 which turned out to be a really cool bike , i have now replaced it with this beauty, a 2024 Scott Addict 10, picked her up today from the local bike shop which I like doing rather than the www.

Reverse snobbery edition since all bikes cost at least £2000 - Orbit America c1990 my current commuter hack, a rideaway £100 Ebay purchase last year.  It had some nasty rust on the underside of the top tub.

Verigated blue, 531 throughout, early 7s 105 groupset, Gamma strada rims.  The rack (£20), mudguards (lying around) and 50/36 chainset (£30) were modifications I made for its new role.

This is my ULEZ avoidance device. It's a Halfords bike, and the accessories are all ebay parts. I use it to avoid the zone once a week, by driving part way, and cycling the rest. Most of the cycle portion takes place on seperated paths, so no need to worry about motor traffic. Despite its relative cheapness, the only problem I've had so far was a broken pedal. 👍

2008 Bianchi Eros

One of my first purchases after getting a job out of univiersity.  $650 new. Steel frame with carbon fork and campy components.  I've only replaced the chain and tires after thousands of miles commuting on it.  2 months ago it got its first major damage when I forgot about it on my hanging bike rack going into the garage.  Luckly only broke a shifter which I was able to fix with jb weld.

Frame built by my own fair hand, heavily supervised, at the former Downland Cycles a few years ago.  Cobalt blue by Argos.

Managed to find some reasonably suitable steel forks to get this frame back up together.  Treated myself to another pair of Brand X carbon bars and seatpost from Condor.

First day out on my new build.

A Merlin Malt G2X frame and fork from Merlin cycles for £299. Great value.

Most of the other bits I already had.

Shimano 105 11 speed with a GRX chainset and TRP disc brakes.

Shimano RS171 wheelset with WTB Riddlers.

Very happy with it, rides very well with comfort.

Happy Days.

My Vitus Venon Evo RS.  The very last XXL framed fully built for sale before CRC went pop.  A lot of bike for the money.

Here we have my Carlton Corsa originally built 1973 first owned by me in 1978 bought second hand for my birthday. Rebuilt in 2012 a few things have changed since then as well. I still think it looks pretty good, but I am biased!

My 2016 Canondale Synapse. All stock apart from the Fizik Arione saddle recommended by my bike fitter.

Could do with being able to fit wider tires with the washboard state of Cotswold lanes though.

Mystery frame and my most successful ever paint job. But, I'm out of space and this one will have to go.

Carlton was my best guess.  I've struggled to get flamboyant shades (translucent over silver) to work: this one has. The contrast panels aren't too bad either, but I'd take an unpaid stint at Argos to learn how to do it properly.

The frame had been resprayed at Argos, or at least it had their decals. And the dropouts wouldn't spring either. There's a braze-on front mech hanger - a suitable front mech took a bit of finding.
