Not related to buildings, but the local rag reports that "The number of fines handed out to drivers in West Mercia for using their mobile phones at the wheel rose substantially" in 2022. West Mercia Police handed out 885 fixed penalty notices for driving while using a handheld device during the year. Imagine how many they would catch if they had enough officers available to go out on patrol!

Sarah Chandler's own tweet with a short video is here:
https://twitter.com/ChaundlerSarah/status/1753703460854182187
In a second tweet she said "I've lost count of how many cars I've seen smashed into the railings on this stretch" and in the video with that tweet a Safer Streets campaigner states that in a recent study 91% of drivers were speeding.
Can't view in the UK, I cannot see a pick-up in the picture?
Could it have anything to do with the nextdoor pizza hut?...
Released without charge.
Could have happened to any driver who was driving to standard and within the speed limit.
How bad is the damage?
could be worse, looks like it's mainly the topside.
There's a lot of photos of the ridiculous Bentley.
Can't moor there, mate.
He must be very keen to see his flat mate.
'Just one of those things'
"While it's here, could you have a look at the brakes for me?"
To start off, they have (had!) a phone box?!
Why was the lorry on the pavement, and reversing without any sort of vision?
And why didn't the phone box respond to the "GET OUT OF MY WAY" beeping??
Its remains are barely in frame on the far right side of the previous photo. Here's a better one.
Agreed. Could have been any of us, and not at all a drunk/ drugged/ on the phone tosser which the police couldn't be bothered with
I was very underwhelmed by the bright red Bentley SUV - was expecting it to be something driven by Avengers Steed or Jason King of Department S.
I knew there was a reason why they were painted red.
Green skip for commercial waste, please put all other waste in the red skip.
The lorry was going very slowly.
The phonebox was in its blind spot.
There was plenty of room for the phonebox to just go round it.
The lorry had never hit anything before and always drove carefully.
Why wasn't the phonebox fully on the pavement?
It wasn't wearing hi-viz and, as it wasn't wearing a helmet, it only has itself to blame if it has any damage!
Hi viz Haiku
