Isn't the "point" that the ambulance had overtaken him previously? 3 years ban seems way too short.
"Butler was described as a ‘nasty piece of work’ and ‘aggressive’ by neighbours at his former home in Rainham, Essex.
One neighbour, who gave her name only as Christine, told MailOnline: ‘He’s a nasty piece of work that man.
‘He would stand across the road staring at us and waving his fists at us over nothing.
‘One day he threw a plastic block at me.’"

Yep, linked it yesterday from the Twitter in the live blog. But cyclists, eh? Never underestimate the capacity for a person behind a wheel to be an absolute knob, regardless of their perceived adversary.
When my daughter was doing her high speed pursuit training in some over-engined BMW 1 series the biggest problem was that driving at speed meant that drivers around reacted and took up the challenge. Normally they would put on the blues and twos but that doesn't stop some of them - they probably think it is just a fake police car - so then they are obliged to stop training and give them a talking to - reluctant to do paperwork as they'd only get 15 minutes driving in in a day as a result. She did say they had this one lad, who having been given the "Now then, sonny" talk, rather than going off with his tail between his legs was asking about what on earth was under the bonnet and if he could have a go in it!
