Subscriber - why is my screen full of adverts?

I'm a subscriber, and 'ad-free' is ticked in my subscription settings, but for some reason my screen seems to be full of adverts today?  Anyone else having that?

Bumping this up.

A week later and still getting adverts. No updates from Road .CC? I'm hoping when you fix the switches for turning the adverts off you are also increasing the end dates for subscribers who aren't getting the service they paid for currently.

Admittedly I had logged on late today but all adverts appear to have gone on my home PC apart from the "powered by Pedaltripr" that appears on the right hand side of the news and forum posts.

The worry is it also appears on the front page under an official titled section called Cycle Tours. Erm, no. If you want that section, then review cycle tours. Don't pretend it is a real section just filled with targetted adverts. Please remove as per the no ads for subscribers as promised.

Work PC has all the adverts still.

At home I use the Brave browser which blocks ads by default; my work PC (Windows 10) still shows all the ads when I log in.

I appreciate the subscription isn't much, but nevertheless I am paying so that my screen doesn't fill up with adverts.

Any joy on sorting it out, road.cc??

Realised I still had adblocker on for the website which explains why it "worked" from home and not from work PC.

I've got Mr Vegas and SpreadEx online betting, 'Explore the best of Sicilia', and Investment Guru 'Take a look at Jane Hill's wife'.

And today I have golf (FFS); cruises (Okay I'm over 50 but there's life in me yet); and the infernal Pedal Tripr (which is presumably for people that have neither the independence nor ability to read a map to just get on their bike and ride somewhere...).

So it's not just that my page is covered in adverts, it's that the adverts are advertising stuff that I'm not at all interested in! I've even got a subscribe to Road.cc advert and I'm a subscriber! Can't this be switched off?  GGGRRRR.

Please do. I'm a subscriber and my screen is sometimes barely legible due to adverts that track my cursor...

I can now see adverts for MG cars (FFS), Pedaltripr holidays, ryobi (lawn mowers because that would be really useful in our apartment in Canary Wharf) gebert, pontoon reach (a Docklands housing development by Redrow)... vanorama, car leasing companies... It's truly pants and makes me want to switch off completely.

OK, thanks, Dave.  If it helps, it only started for me yesterday (but is still happening today...).

Same here. Subscription renewal went through yesterday so perhaps that's something to do with it.

Any joy on this, Dave?

(I became a paid subscriber, and was happy to do so, precisely so my screen wasn't covered with adverts...).

(bump)

From what I understand from previous forums / web pages I've visited with similar deals, there are style sheets for Adverts for normal users and specific ones for Subs / Members etc. I suspect the swap to normal is auto set for the specific end date of the subscription period. However their programming has not properly tested for resubscribing so the date has not updated properly.

There is probably a bit more to it then that though as I would have thought it could have been manually set correctly again.

Same here. I posted on the original Dave Atkinson post today about it as well. I think the end dates have't been updated in the DB.
