Try using a Shimnao TL-EW02 Di2 E-Tube Plug Tool to remove the wire. Don't remove the wire by hand, use only the tool. Inspect the wire for damage. Check if water has gotten pass the seal. Check for corrosion, etc. Use the tool to re-insert the wire snugly.
Only 4 quid for a genuine shimano tool...
I didn't realise there are fake versions of it!...as per my description It's the rear mech that has the fault.
Already established it's the rear mech. As per my description of the issue I have swapped out the rear mech with one that doesn't drain. Run pce02 and yes I use the Shimano tool for all my sd50 cable installations.
This is a good starting point:

I suspect you're looking at a new rear mech, though. Others may have more helpful suggestions!
Thanks, I've read all the posts beforehand which led me to post on here. Never seen a solution to this exact issue.. maybe you can't open them up to investigate...never read of anyone trying. Doesn't seem like there are any other solutions beyond what I've already diagnosed and tried.
