Worst time to by 1st road bike

So I have been living the single speed life in London for many years and having just moved down to Brighton before lockdown, I thought I should take advantage of my works 'Cycle to Work scheme' and buy a proper road bike, budget £1k.
However unsurprisingly it is almost impossible to get hold of a recommended bike for this budget in a size that would suit someone 6ft 1 plus.
Any ideas? I like the Specialized Allez E5 Elite, Canyon Endurance AL 7.0 or Van Rysel RR 900 AF.

In all honesty you're likely to struggle as the supply chain is broken. Bikes that should have been shipping from the Far East 3 months ago and more are likely to still be sat in a warehouse collecting dust until the pandemic eases and society opens up.

I'd be scouring the 2nd hand market if I was in your position.
