Long-distance cyclist Josie Dew holds London talk in support of Sustrans

Josie Dew has racked up 350,000 miles and counting on her bike – that’s the equivalent of doing the Tour de France more than 150 times, so she's got plenty to say about cycling, and she'll be doing just that when she gives a talk and answers questions in aid of Sustrans in London’s Smithfield next Monday.

Josie’s website gives a comprehensive account of how she fell in love with cycling after falling out of a car as a child, and details the travels that have taken her to nearly 50 countries across six continents over the past two decades.

She has written about her journeys in a series of books and regularly gives talks about her expeditions, and in 2006 became a mother, with daughter Molly clocking up 1,500 miles during her first year as a passenger.

Billed as 'An evening with intrepid cyclist Josie Drew,' Monday’s talk takes place at The Gallery, 70 Cowcross Street, EC1M 6EJ, just yards from Farringdon station, and the venue opens at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

Tickets cost £7 and are available from the Sustrans website, but with only 100 places available, you’d better be quick.
