It's no coincidence that this is in the North.
I liked the fact that there was another nice guy at the end too. Nice to see.
Well done guy Hull seems like a great place to be!
Clearly our hero doesnt wear cleats - trying to push a car in cleats is a recipe for disaster.
As i myself have found to my chagrin
Hey, nuclear coffee, I've done the same thing!
Anyway, I drive a Renault, and I often find I need to pull off in a lay by due to it conking out! Well done that man!
what an absolute star. and i love the benny hill bit.
I loved the positive article in the Daily Mail - highlighting how everyone can get along and treat the road as a shared space, and how looking after one another leads to a better experience all round. And ALL those positive comments from well-wishers.
no, ignore me. That might not have happened.
Is it wrong my first thought was to wonder what sort of cleats he has on his shoes? It would be difficult to push a car wearing SPD-SLs!
Buy that man a drink! Needs it after pushing that mutha of a car.
Amazed no one has jumped in castigating him for riding on the pavement. Sorry I couldn't help myself there
Nice to see anyone helping someone else out nowadays.
Careful - castigation can make you go blind!
Amazing. Sometimes, to paraphrase bike snob nyc, I stop driving THE CAR THAT I OWN to help a cyclist with a mechanical too. Because, you know, only absolute idiots think that tribally.
Although it is probably somewhat easier, on average, to help someone with a bike mechanical than with a car mechanical.
Helpful people, rude people. Some ride bikes, some drive cars.
Top man! As said previously glad the bike was still there.
Spiderman riding a bike?
Good to see that we're perpetuating the "them and us" culture.
I held the door open for a stranger at the weekend, unfortunately I wasn't in cycling kit so it's not much of a story I'm afraid.
Not wearing cycling kit at the weekend? GTFOff this website immediately you imposter charlatan!
Now that is a real Gentleman.
Proof we're not all grumpy sods! Well done that man!
Well done, sir! Hopefully this results in at least one more driver sympathetic to sharing the road with cyclists.
Also glad to see nobody nicked his bike while he was pushing the car down the road.
