Endura release new 85g FS260-Pro SL summer cycling jersey

New jersey was developed for Movistar team and now available to the public

Scottish cycle clothing company, and sponsor of the Movistar professional team, has released the FS260-Pro SL jersey with a claimed weight, for a size medium, of just 85g. To put that into context, it’s about the same weight as a king size Mars Bar. It's much lighter than Rapha's Super Lightweight jersey, but not as light as the 65g adidas adiZero jersey.

The FS260-Pro SL range is the company’s top-line offering, used by the race team and available in a range of regular colours for everyone else. The new jersey was developed for the Movistar team and is claimed to be 40% lighter and 15% better at keeping a rider cool on a simulated alpine climb in 30°C heat, compared to a reference jersey - though they don’t specify the benchmark jersey they used for testing.

The new jersey is identical to the Movistar team issue jersey, down to the same close-fit race cut, but it’s available in two subtle and smart colours. To combat heat buildup, the key design brief for this jersey, Endura use a mesh material for the front of the jersey and in the underarm area, with a very fine, light and fast wicking fabric. Because the material is so thin, they have treated the back panels with a UPF25+ treatment to minimise the risk of sunburn.

To keep the weight low, the jersey has a minimalist construction, with the three rear pockets made from low weight fabric. There’s still silicone duff grippers to hold the sleeves in place, and an internal elasticated hem and silicone waistband to stop the jersey riding up at the back.

With a fully sublimated finish it’s available in a range of fetching colours and can be paired with the matching FS260-Pro SL bib shorts. It’s available in sizes from S to XXL and will cost £64.99. Check it out now at www.endurasport.com
