#mycyclingweekend - Dr. Frankenstein's bike & leg 'lacerations'

The road.cc accident and emergency department stayed quiet this weekend - although there were some close calls!

Other than Dr. Frankenstein’s bike, some leg-laceration scares and a puncture or two, the road.cc bike accident & emergency unit had a very quiet weekend.

We’re putting it down to the weather. Without the rain to catch us out and make us rethink our racing lines us cyclists don't often come a cropper; especially not in the blazing sunshine.

Healthy bikes make us happy here at road.cc, and what a healthy set of photos you all sent in this week!

Before we get onto those beauties, we've got a bit of business to deal with. This week’s #mycyclingweekend winner - and the now proud owner of a BTwin 300 Multi Tool courtesy of the lovely guys down at Decathlon - is Libby Gordon, whose almost gorey looking post-wheel clean-up photo had our hearts in our mouths.

We’re pleased neither you or your bike need a trip to human or bicycle A&E, Libby.

One of the few potential candidates for the now defunct road.cc bike A&E unit this #mycyclingweekend was Instagram user Tuomas whose split tyre looks like it needed some attention:

If we’re staying within the realms of bicycle personification for a while, not only would we need to reopen the road.cc bike A&E, we’d have to report Jeremy Strutt, or #truckingcyclist as he’s known on Twitter, for criminal activity.

Have you seen what he’s done to his Schwinn Stingray? Dr. Frankenstein, eat your heart out.

Seriously though, it’s pretty cool.

Away from the potential gore, you all had absolutely stunning weekends filled with ice cream, sunshine, and miles of beautiful road.

Well, except for Chris Lawson who found a road that could use a little bit of emergency care:

Safe riding!
