Victoria Pendleton as Holly Golightly

Multiple World and Olympic Cycling Champion Victoria Pendleton launched her latest campaign today for bread maker Hovis and in contrast to the wholesome check-shirt-and-jeans image where she's promoting Victoria's Recipes for healthy breakfasts, the photography big guns have been pulled out to portray her as Holly Golightly, the heroine played by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Starting with Banana & Peanut Butter Toast, via Fruity French Toast and all kinds of other yummy permutations on er..toast, we were nonetheless here suitably inspired to fire up the Dualit and enjoy a more nutritious-than-normal snack. Of course, apart from flogging healthy wholemeal bread, there is a serious message to the campaign and, no doubt, banking on Victoria's appeal as a fit 'n' sporty role model for women, it's all about having a good breakfast to set you up for an energetic day. We're sold.
