We're off to recce the Mountain Mayhem sportive

The icy winter is a distant memory and we're looking forward to a long, hot summer of sportives on sticky tarmac. Hope springs eternal, eh? Whatever else happens though it is going to be sunny tomorrow. And we're off to recce the Mountain Mayhem Sportive sponsored by Verenti. And you're all welcome too.

Okay, it's short notice, but we've been itching to get out and try the route since we announced it a couple of weeks ago. And now the opportunity has presented itself we're hot-footing it up to Eastnor tomorrow to have a spin round the the 100km route. We'll be taking pics and a bit of video along the way, so we can post up a full recce on road.cc next week.

In the meantime, if you're at a loose end tomorrow and fancy knocking about with us in the lanes around Malvern, then the more the merrier. We're going to be rolling out from the front of Eastnor Castle at around 11am and aim to wander round in five hours or so, including filming and cake. There won't be any online tracking going on!
