It's cold out, eh? Winter's definitely coming. When most of us here at road.cc saw the weather outside, and felt the cold on our knees as we rolled out of our driveways, we knew we'd need a bit of cheering up.
Everything was a bit better by the time we got into the office. After a bit of deliberation, most of the staff and the DealCatcher were in agreement. It was the bikes that saved our morning.
So, in that light, here are some slamming cycling deals to cheer you up on a thoroughly autumnal November afternoon.
We start at Chain Reaction Cycles with a great deal on Raleigh's RX Pro Cyclocross bike. Decathlon follow with a solid 21% discount on their well regarded B'Twin Mach 740 road bike - which is actually used by the b'Twin Under-19 racing team.
Finally, Cycle Surgery have sliced £200 off the asking price of their Trek Madone 2.1. We reviewed the Madone 2.1 a couple years ago, we liked it.
Chain Reaction Cycles
Do-it-all is the idea here with Raleigh's SRAM covered, aluminium framed RX Pro.
Whether you're looking for a set of wheels to see you through the rough and tumble of a cyclocross seeason, or a solid commuter that'll keep driving through the wind, rain, and snow, this could be the bike for you.
Overlooking the massive 1/3rd off, the RX Pro offers pretty fantastic value for money. SRAM Rival HRD hydraulic brakes and Rival 22 groupset are mounted on a lightweight aluminium frame and carbon forks.
At a touch under £1000, you could do a lot worse than giving this orange stunner a home for the winter.
Decathlon
Discounts on B'Twin bikes don't come all that often. Decathlon's home brand has no other dealer competition to do price battles with, so deals like this don't really come around very often.
So, grab this 21% discount while you can.
The Mach 740 is an aero-leaning road bike suited and booted with Campagnolo Athena 11 groupset and brakes, plus Campag's Khamsim wheelset.
If you need any more convincing that this might be a worthwhile investment, b'Twin's own under 19 racing team use these bikes.
Cycle Surgery
Finally, Trek's Madone 2.1 has been picked up by the DealCatcher from the guys and girls over at Cycle Surgery.
We reviewed the 2015 model's predecessor back in 2013 and gave it a very respectable 8/10.
The 2015 model comes kitted out with a Shimano 105 groupset, Trek's Madone specific carbon fork, and Bontrager's Tubeless Ready Rims to finish.
