We imagine you felt it in your fingers, this #mycyclingweekend. Perhaps you felt it in your toes too?
To steal a tweeked line from both the 90s Wet Wet Wet hit, and 00s Christmas classic Love Actually - Christmas is all around us. Well, winter is at least.
The stormy weather hasn't helped get us in the mood, but it's certainly reminded us what time of year it is.
Whether you're a bit of a scrooge, or you're already firmly and wholeheartedly in the Christmas spirit, there's absolutely no escaping it; it's everywhere - on telly, down the Christmas market, maybe it's even infiltrated your home.
With that in mind we asked you to embrace the seasonal cheer this #mycyclingweekend and let us in on your plans and wishes.
We doubt any of you were expecting Storm Desmond to have as much of a wet and wild impact on the weekend as it did, but it didn't stop you all getting right in the festive mood.
Cycling groups Sefton Velo and the Timsbury Cycle Group had their Christmas dos - the Timsbury lot appeared to get a little more merry than the Sefton gang who rode home after a three course lunch. We hope you all kept it down!
As far as getting right into the Christmas spirit under your own steam goes, Instagram user beersbikesandbistro took the cake - or pie - this weekend. Not only has his wife been rustling up some Christmas treats, he's helped himself to an early present in the shape of a new pair of Fizik R5B Uomo cycling shoes.
We reviewed these earlier this year and loved them - we hope we helped in your decision making beersbikesandbistro!
While the weather was a bit of a bummer, you made it perfectly clear that bad weather doesn't really exist. There's weather you're prepared for, and weather you're not prepared for - and if preparation is key to enjoying your rides, you must have all been incredibly well prepared.
Twitter user @DrewDrewcrooks was praising his mudguards to the high stormy heavens this weeekend, @ben_s48 on Instagram was particularly well prepared the night before his ride, and despite the weather Mike Stead had his "best ride in quite a while."
It's not about the weather folks, you've just got to get out there and ride - listen to Mike.
It's not too late to get involved with #mycyclingweekend. Head out for a ride now and send us your photos via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter by attaching the #mycyclingweekend hashtag to your posts.
You never know what you'll see while you're out there - we doubt Mike Nelder on Twitter was expecting to bump into pro cycling team Astana while he was out on his bike last week:
Chapeau to PFP for a great victory....
... and then conspired to present it in such a way that you can't really see it.
Nothing new. Cyclists are public enemy number 1. I was minding my own business yesterday on a very narrow single track lane with passing places. As...

Not that they would be as technical, or maybe quite as grippy, but does the skate industry provide any solutions?
Sorry to be a killjoy but it doesn't amuse me at all, I hope the idiot gets caught and punished. Putting yourself on the same road as pros...
