Just today I saw someone using a car in rushhour traffic in a densely populated urban area, pumping out diesel particulates for children to breath in!
Sheer irresponsibility.
Is it illegal to use phones while in control of a motor vehicle in NZ or did she just happen to have a camera at hand?
Yep. It's Fully illegal in NZ, but I couldn't vouch for Australia where this photo was taken, being as it's as far from NZ as UK is from Libya...
But as someone said, this is commonplace in many asian countries, so why the fuss about it happening in a 'western' country? Funny that the cops are disappointed about the lack of hlemet, but less so the kid on Dad's back...
I wouldn't do this with my kids on a public road, but certainly have in our back yard and other locations.
Lastly, this does appear to be taken from the passengers seat of the car.....
Right, so the police think it's disappointing and dangerous when cyclists are "non-compliant", but they don't do anything about the red light running by cars?
(BTW: it's clearly a pretty stupid thing to do, but making a song and dance about it is a bit much I think.)
Won't someone think of the children!.
No-one's allowed to do that since Rolf got found out.
At least they aren't wearing camo...
Velcro.
Picture taken at 6pm tuesday morning....... who knew there was such a time lol, yea its a bit silly in rush hour traffic but everyone should focus on bringing up thier own kids and worry less of what others are doing.
Live and let live isnt it
Its australia remember, time is upside down there.
I don't understand why stuff like this causes so much fuss. In malaysia whole families ride on single mopeds...
Yes; let the child live!
None of my business.
I would like to hear what the mother of the child privately said about it.
What a cool dad. That kid will have an awesome upbringing.
Unlike the hysterical pantywaists who reported it and then frothed ad infinitum. Their kids will grow up feckless indolents who die early of coronary disease.
