Ohio: Woman drives after man she saw stealing her bike ... he then stole her car

A man who was reportedly spotted by a woman as he stole her bicycle and then forced her out of her car before running her over has appeared in court in Ohio.

Brandon Clark, aged 20, has been charged with felonious assault and robbery in connection with the incident, which happened in Ohio City on Tuesday morning.

Marsha Pressman, aged 67, said she had been walking her dog when she spotted Clark in the act of taking her bike from the yard of her home on Clinton Avenue, whereupon she got in her car to cut off his escape.

According to a report on Cleveland 19 News, Clark opened the door of the vehicle and pulled Ms Pressman out and started hitting her.

He is then said to have got into the driver’s seat and reversed into her, before driving off.

Police arrested him after he crashed the vehicle at the junction of West 32nd and Franklin.

The victim received treatment at MetroHealth Medical Center and was discharged that evening.

Clark has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has been released on a bond of $100,000.
