#mycyclingweekend: Show us your favourite bit of road

It might be half way up a mountain, or just round the corner, either way share your favourite spot with us

We've all got one. It might be your local go-to spot with great sight lines over the nearby countryside, it might be a long stretch of quite inner-city tarmac, it could be half way up a mountain in the sunny south of France.

When you close your eyes and think about the times you've been happiest on a bike, or the moments when you've felt most liberated by the two wheels beneath you, where are you transported to?

If it's a road that's just around the corner, or at least within riding distance, go and ride it. Make sure you take a photo though, so that you can share your happiness with us.

If that bit of road is just a memory, or hundreds of miles away, find it on Google maps and take a screenshot, or go and dig up an old photo and share your story with us here at road.cc.

If nothing's springing to mind, it doesn't matter. Go out and ride. Enjoy yourself, that's the only way to make a memory, which is the only way you'll find your favourite bit of road.

There are thousands and thousands of miles of roads out there, plenty of stories waiting to be told, but you've gotta go out and ride them first.

Here's a bit of photographic inspiration for you ahead of another massive #mycyclingweekend.
