Such sad news. Thoughts with Romain's family at this time.
Jay i I suggest you start a thread in the form rather than on this article.
This is not a suitable story to post irrelevant comments against. You will not get a reaction.
Condolences to the the family, colleagues, fans and friends of Romain Guyot.
Not expecting to get any reaction or support. I think it's totally relevant in the context of cyclist safety on how we could be better protected from accidents with motor vehicles. We all know these accidents are a real threat so aside from being sentimental about this tragedy, what could we learn and do from it?
It's not about being sentimental but being respectful of Guyot's death. I have a fair bit to say in response to your comment but it's not right for this article.
Quite right.
It's a tragedy and I think the industry should seriously start implementing protective clothing and maybe even full face helmets for roadbikes. We don't know the details of the collision but I wonder if a motorcyclist will full protective wear would have suffered the same consequence?
FFS
I wonder if getting rid of idiotic, thick bastards who think that some protective gear will save people from getting hit by 30 ton trucks would stop these things happening.
Hear-hear, Monsieur Rolland! And, RIP Monsieur Guyot...
