We hope you've all had a gentle start to your bank holiday, but it's time to do one of two things. Either get out in the saddle and enter this week's #mycyclingweekend competition, or check out the bank holiday bargains we've collected in today's DealCatcher.
First up we pay a visit to Trek and Bontrager's new online store where they've slashed the prices of a number of their 2016 bikes. We've picked out the Trek Emonda S5 today, but there are plenty more if you take a look around.
We then move over to Wheelies where their range of Tenn Outdoors bib shorts have had a massive 40% price cut. We've reviewed Tenn Outdoors bibs before and our tech editor David Arthur said they were incredible value for money - we wonder what he'd make of them at this price.
Finally, over at Radial Cycles you can get your hands on a great little starter bundle that they're marketing at first-time riders, but would fill the gaps in plenty of our bike accessory collections. What's more, the savings within the bundle make up a 35% discount.
Happy shopping!
Trek & Bontrager
When we took our First Look at Trek's 2016 range of road bikes we highlighted the S4 and S5 as fantastic affordable carbon fibre options amongst Trek's "lightest production line ever."
The S5 is built around Trek’s 300 Series OCLV carbon frame and fork, but is an upgrade over the S4 as it carries Shimano 105, which you know we like, a lot.
At a pinch over £1000, this deal directly from Trek is a fantastic offer, especially when you take Trek's excellent warranty & loyalty program into account.
Wheelies
Tenn shorts are good. Really, they're really good especially for the money. We know, we reviewed them in their 2014 iteration and gave them an exceptional 8/10.
Our tech editor David Arthur was the man tasked with filling the shorts and writing his thoughts on them.
He waxed lyrical about the value, saying the Tenns put "some more expensive shorts to shame."
The shorts also come in a tange of colours so you can coordinate them with the rest of your kit and your bike, if you're that way inclined.
Radial Cycles
Finally, Radial Cycles have this excellent bundle that'll set any new cyclist up with all they need accessory-wise to get out on the road with a clear mind.
For £50 you'll get Radial's highly rated (by us) Pharos bike light set, a bottle cage, a water bottle, Radial's Porter Medium Bike Bag, their Aerate road bike pump, Verso 14-piece ratchet tool, and glueless puncture repair kit.
