Free guided bike rides in Luton

Sustrans and local council team up to offer supervised rides

Tomorrow (Friday 9 July) sees the latest in a series of free guided cycle rides in Luton.

Starting at Luton town hall each Friday lunchtime, everybody is welcome to attend these guided rides to build confidence though cycling in a supportive and social environment.

Cycle Fridays, organised by Sustrans Active Travel and Luton Borough Council, last up to an hour and are open to all ages.

The aim of the sessions is to encourage residents to increase their levels of everyday physical activity in an enjoyable, mainly off-road, setting.

As the rides are supervised they are suitable for novice riders and will help people build confidence through cycling in a supportive and social environment.

Tomorrow’s ride is due to set off at 12.30pm from the Town Hall. Call 01582 732919 for more information.

Sustrans are also offering free bike loan in some cases. For details visit the Sustran site.
