Man charged with assault after cyclist pushed into path of car

Incident took place in Chatham on Saturday lunchtime

A man has been charged with assault after a cyclist in Kent was pushed from his bike and fell into the path of an oncoming car.

The incident took place at around 2pm on the afternoon of Saturday 9 September on Dock Road, Chatham, reports Kent Online.

The male cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The alleged assailant, 47-year-old Colin Page Sayer, of no fixed address, was charged with assault.

He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear today via video link at Medway Magistrates’ Court.
