Police seek cyclist after 72 year old pedestrian dies

Detectives are searching for a cyclist as they investigate a pedestrian death in Shepherd's Bush.

At around 11am on 30 December 2016, the cyclist, described as a black male, was in a collision with a 72 year old man in Frithville Gardens, London W12.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance where he died two weeks later, at which point the incident was reported to police.
As it had not been reported earlier, the cyclist, who did stop at the scene, had not been identified.

Detectives are appealing for him to come forward, and assist with the investigation.

Police say they would like to reassure the individual that at this stage, all they wish to do is speak with them and establish the circumstances that led to the collision.

Given the time of day there would have been a number of people in the vicinity and detectives are also appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
