The silliest thing is that she spent who knows how long waiting by the side of the road in the sun, and then just when the reason for actually being there approaches she turns her back to mug for the camera and misses it.

Well reading this thread has made for an enjoyable few mins.. all opinions thrown into a pot, misconstruted, escalated and spurted out as intellectual fighting talk as only the internet can do... and lets not forget we're such a tough lot us cyclists, all arm muscle!

I quite liked the video with the woman, made me chuckle and I wasn't looking at her boobs.

Another story of spectators getting to close, wasn't it the 2014DTF where there was a 'spate' of pro's slapping the phones out of spectators hands, that was fun to watch, bring back selfie slappings!

The publisher of this video chose to display her semi exposed breasts under the cyclical effects of gravity.  She didn't publish her deeper understanding of the race nor any material of greater intellectual value.  I think its entirely appropriate to comment on the material presented in the same context in which it was published.  The main actress advertised her sexuality and I expressed my approval.  Flame away if you must.  If a beautiful intelligent woman published material of higher intellectual interest and was reduced to a sex object then I might agree with many posts in this thread.  This post however is no more than a bimbo flashing her tits.

Cleary she has NO INTEREST IN BIKES whatsoever. Wouldn't have felt sorry for her in the slightest if she'd got clouted.

I can at least understand a FAN trying to get a selfie.

She's no more silly than the (usually male) fans who block the roads getting smartphone pictures on the mountains then not getting out of the way in time. Ok so she likes looking at the camera but is there anyone who doesn't these days?

She looks left and her view is obscured by the big guy with the smartphone out. Easy mistake to make, especially when you're being egged on for the camera. Less than a meter to go from being a righteous well-behaved fan to hate du jour. 

People stand there for hours, loosen up, and start feeling safe. They should make apps for these big events that show your location (using location services enabled) on the route and how close the peleton is to coming. Alerts when they're close. Some race sites do offer live updates with some form of idea of where the riders are, so it's not entirely novel, just needs putting into a modern accessible format that everyone can download. Tie it in with Velon or DiData to get other cool stats for the more hardcore fans. A lot of them have those Quark or DiData collectors now, but the info isn't being used well. 

I was annoyed with her actions until I read some of the above comments, now I just feel sorry for her.

I'm just objecting to the implication that some daft comments in response to this daft story are representative of anything other than this daft thread.

Edit: I just read my previous post back and what was intended as light-hearted sarcasm reads as more scathing than that - so @Jackson: apologies if that's how it comes across. This thread is silly and I've no axe to grind for you.

(but I do think it's just a silly thread and gone a bit Carry On, bar the odd comment)

Why give publicity to stunted-brained cretins who want to attract publicity? It seems that all of cycling's media outlets have not learned this lesson yet.

"Glamour Model" doesn't that just mean porn star?

I've looked at this a couple of times, and I think the term 'ex-glamour model' could be more fairly applied.

British police should apply that sort of driving/riding to scrotes on stolen mopeds.
