An Italian designer has reinvented the wheel, the Revolve, which folds down when not in use to take up less space for easier portability and storage. “Revolve occupies up to 60% less space when folded and can be used in all conditions,” says its inventor Andrea Mocellin.

​More crowdfunded madness, this time it's yet another cycling product with indicators. Proclaimed as 'the first smart animative backpack', you can customise the animations on the Pix; and when it comes to going for a ride, it shows turn signals that are controlled through a wireless remote

5. Dockless bike share firm Mobike threatens to pull out of Manchester due to vandals

Dockless bike share firm Mobike has threatened to pull out of Manchester due to vandalism and theft. The company now operates in more than 200 cities worldwide, with other UK operations in Newcastle, Oxford and parts of London, and says it has not encountered anywhere else near the levels of theft and vandalism it has seen in Manchester.

6. Trek reveal updated 520 Touring Bike

Trek have launched a new version of their classic 520 steel touring bike(link is external), with a larger downtube to help cope with luggage loading, more comfortable geometry for multi-day rides and a lighter alloy fork.

7. Bridge over new Aberdeen bypass - home to forthcoming "worst cycling event ever" - described as "lethal" for cyclists and walkers

More from the location of the 'worst cycling event ever' as it turns out cyclists using a popular off-road commuting and leisure route in Aberdeen are having to cycle into the path of oncoming traffic where it meets a bridge over the city’s new £745 million bypass – because Transport Scotland apparently forgot to stipulate making provision for cyclists’ needs when putting the contract out to tender.

8. Man charged with multiple offences following Clapham road rage incident caught on camera earlier this month

It's not looking too good for Shane Seymour, caught on camera driving at cyclists in south London earlier this month, as he was charged with with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, five counts of driving whilst disqualified, five counts of dangerous driving, and vehicle interference.

9. Hundreds ride in Central London to protest cyclists' deaths and call for safer streets

A major junction in Central London was brought to a standstill on Monday evening as hundreds of cyclists came together to protest the latest death of a bike rider in the capital and call for safer streets. The protest, organised by London Cycling Campaign (LCC), saw riders come together at the location close to Holborn Underground station where Dr Peter Fisher was killed last week in a collision with a lorry.
