What's so great about the Hotel Belvedere? Well, not for nothing was it ranked as the second best hotel in the whole wide world in the 2019 Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice awards. It's a fantastic place to stay, and they really know how to look after you.

Not only that but it's a great base for riding your bike. The hotel is a block from the beach, but from there you can climb all the way up to the 1,450m Cippo Carpegna in a day's ride, or explore the myriad of beautiful hilltop towns, or head to the university city of Urbino, or ride the Panoramica road along the sea cliffs... there's a huge variety of riding. The hotel organises up to five guided rides a day, and they have an extensive fleet of top-end De Rosa road bikes so you don't need to travel with your bike if you don't want to.

We're heading there on Tuesday 11 June to catch the build-up to the Gran Fondo Riccione on the Sunday. There's lots of supporting events going on in town that week, and you can participate in the Gran Fondo itself on the Sunday if you want. Spoiler alert: they like to go FAST!
