Have I ever recounted the story of how, a long time ago in a county not far from here, a man was arrested, tried and convicted of 'a breach of the peace' on the word of a police officer who was in Spain on holiday at the time of the offence?
I may have used that episode in one of my poorly-written 'satire' episodes. But it actually happened.
