"Many motorists want to share the road the way a four-year-old wants to share toys," said Alan Downey.
Is it too early to nominate this for Quote of the Year?
velo conference city my fucking arse. They banged on about a cycle lane that is narrower than the recommended in the UK and then sent out the delegates in hi-vis and helmets on a totally segregated cycle lane (that was basically a back route lane).
Dublin is a joke of a cycle city as is Ireland with their victim blaming garda just the same shit as our plod!
As an illustration of their general uselessness at a certain level, the Guards recently made a demand via twitter that cyclists not post photos/videos of the registrations of cnuts like this or cycle lane blockers citing GDPR. The information commissioner called bullshit on this
Please report that, it's disgraceful
I've seen a woman with two children in one of those cargo bikes being absolutely screamed at, on Oxford Street. 'You should be fucking ashamed of yourself!'. And 'Someone call social services!' And 'it'll be on you when they die!'.
If Ireland is anything like this shithole of a country, the driver probably considered that he or she was justly 'punishing' the cyclist for daring to put his children at risk.
and that was a sweep in from the outside lane.
Must have just remembered they needed milk
I don't know what Dublin Live is, or it's general attitude to people, but I'm pleased to see that they take a human centric approach in this instance. It's a pity that their website is even more infested with third party scripts than this one and I can't be bothered to work out just where the video is hiding.
It's the big bit at the top of the page with a large PLAY button in the middle of it. If it was any more obvious it would press play itself.
They are using a script blocker and trying to work out which of the 20+ to allow.
