The countdown to this summer's Tour Series of city centre crits has begun the official website has now gone live and the promoters are looking for volunteers to help with marshalling and other tasks at the 10 rounds of the series. The are also on the look out for young Djs. According to the Tour Series website they want:
“Talented young DJs to play a 30 minute set before and after each of the 10 rounds of the series.
We are looking for an upbeat funky set as opposed to techno and if you are a hit with the crowd you might get spotted and travel with us to other events!
To show your interest please send an MP4 or MP3 file of a cut of your set to opportunities [at] cyclevox.com and we will be in touch!”
If you are interested in being a volunteer at any of the rounds of the Tour Series email them at : info [at] thetour.co.uk with the following information

Your Local Round of The Tour Series.
Nine towns and cities are already confirmed to host a round of the series which kicks off in Milton Keynes on 21 May to be followed by rounds in Exeter, Woking, Peterborough, Blackpool, Southport, Stoke-on-Trent and Chester with the finals of the series being staged in Southend. According to the organisers the final venue completing the line-up will be announced very soon.
If the nav on the new website is anything to go by – it's going to be somewhere with a short name… maybe Bath, or possibly Bristol (Britain's first Cycling City), we're optimists around here. Or maybe they'll just re-size the nav – yeah, we're realists too.
Given that othe rounds are being hosted by some of Cycling England's “Cycling Towns” our money would be on one of the following: Aylesbury, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Colchester, Darlington, Derby, Lancaster, or York.
Starting at 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, The Tour Series promotors say that each round will be a festival of cycling-based activities and races that will generate a carnival atmosphere at each of the chosen venues. Each round will be televised via a major Terrestrial broadcaster – no new on who that is as yet.
10 of the top pro teams in the UK have been invited to race in the Tour Series, and you should see some top cycling stars in action, with the teams being chosen on performance, as well as strength in squad numbers. Each team consists of a squad of between eight and 12 riders and from the squad five riders are nominated for each race.
For more on the teams competing and info about the Tour Series visit their website www.tourseries.co.uk

No approval implied, and indeed I thought it was a bit daft at the time. I can certainly see the case for prioritising and maybe offering discounts...
On a wider note, would you mind taking your pisspoor low rent far-right racist trolling and fucking off elsewhere? Many thanks.
