Rollapaluza announce night of April Fools mixed doubles roller racing

Fancy dress mixed doubles roller racing returns to central London next month when Rollapaluza follow up their successful Brief Encounter mixed doubles evenings with an April Fools Day one of snappily titled, Pity the Fool.

The format is the same as last time out, basically a boy + girl 1000m madison roller race with music and beer – a format maybe the UCI should explore in their efforts to make the madison a more spectator-friendly event.

Entry to the event is £8 to race or spectate and it all takes place at the Kingpin Suite at the "fashionable Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes"… we're from out of town so we're not qualified to comment on their fashionability or otherwise, not that it'll make a bit of difference one way or the other to your enjoyment of the evening's fun.

There will be cash prizes and trophies for the winners plus prizes in the fancy dress competition, regardless of your racing ability – so there's a chance of glory for everyone.

Later in the month Rollapaluza's National Series rolls in to London after a 10 round tour UK cities in an attempt to find the nation's King and Queen of cadence – their majesties will be crowned at Herne Hill on the 30th at the Grand Finale.
