Am I missing something or does that not sound like an all-weather solution?
There's often a bike shop caravan by the NCN (side) exit from Bristol Temple Meads, too, which is another First Great Western station.
However, FGW there treats cyclists as an annoyance that they're required to accommodate: overcrowded parking (which were approaching the levels of the notorious Cambridge station until a recent expansion on platform 3), two-bikes-per-train, no reservations allowed, no CCTV on the bike parking at most suburban stations and so on.
Is Oxford station nicer to cycle through?
