Short film captures atmosphere of Saturday's IG London Nocturne (+ non-spoiler video)

TV highlights on Channel 4 on Sunday, but this video gives a taste of action without giving away the result...

Big crowds turned out for Saturday's IG London Nocturne at Smithfield Market, with riders from Team Sky and GreenEdge mixing it with the best of Britain's domestic talent in the St Gobain Elite Criterium which topped a bill that included a comprehensive programme of support races and events. Since highlights are on Channel 4 at 7.10am next Sunday morning, we won't tell you the result - you can go to the event website if you really want to find out now - but we can show you the following short video from Optimal Cadence Films that really captures the atmosphere of an event now firmly established on the London cycling calendar.

Cool film, I was there and it was a great night. The music in the video is a 1966 tune by Jacques Dutronc - 'Et moi,et moi,et moi'. He's pretty big in France and still treading the boards...

I raced and it was an incredible atmosphere. The crowd noise on the start-finish was deafening.

Just waiting for the results to be published.

Spoiler alert (censored abit in case u glance down)

I was there with Mrs H and little H and we all had a great night. Very well organised, good field and IS was amazingly strong. Got slightly confused when he lapped the field though dropping DA in the process!
Only gripe was that we got a great position right in front of the big screen only to find that the big screen only showed pictures when the cyclists were right in front of it on the home straight!
The womens race was great too with a very close finish and the penny farthing race was extraordinary (see what i did there?!)
Excellent event and free! Thanks to the organisers.
