Enigma launch Mark Reilly 25th anniversary frame and fork

Limited edition Reynolds 753 frame to celebrate Reilly's 25 years of frame building...

Titanium and steel specialists Enigma are releasing a limited edition frame to mark the 25th year of framebuilding by their designer, Mark Reilly.

The Mark Reilly 25th anniversary frame and fork will use a Reynolds 753 a tubeset. There's a special reason why, and it's because all those years ago Mark was the youngest builder in the world to become Reynolds 753 approved. It's a tubeset with real pedigree; Bernard Hinault was among those who raced to countless victories on a frame made of 753.

You can't buy the tubeset any more however, but pulling some strings with Reynolds paid off. Mark has secured 25 tubesets to mark the occasion. You can't put a price on that sort of exclusivity. Well, you can: £2,499. That gets you a frame, fork and Chris King headset.

The lucky few will be able to customise their frame with a choice of stainless steel or mirror polished lugs, bottom bracket shells, fork crown and dropouts, as well as a choice of paint colours. A final flourish is the addition of Mark's signature, added to the top tube in 3D mirror polished stainless steel.

To make this frame even more memorable for potential customers, Mark will spend one day with each customer and build their frame while they watch. It will be photographed too and each and every frame will have their own exclusive book printed, featuring photography from the build.

Interested? We certainly are. Get your order in now at www.enigmabikes.com.

Alpina were a premium South African brand in the 1980's early 90's. There are a few out here, wonder if it's one that someone has brought over?

@herohirst - that's a great find!

Is it these guys?

No race bikes in the current range, but you could always try asking them to see if it's one of theirs? Does it have a serial number that they might have on record?

My 753 frame started rusting through from the inside in various places and had to be retired after repairs got uneconomical. Still hanging up in the garage though. It was the best compromise between weight/stiffness and all-day (race) comfort. Lovely 753!

Got super lucky recently - Finally had to admit that my (2nd hand) Mercian was just too big for me and bought a steel lugged frame on eBay just for it's size. When it arrived it turns out to be made of 753!
An Italian frame stamped "ALPINA" on the tops of the seat stays. Really struggling to find out much more about Alpina though. Lugged, really light early 1990's road bike frame, now un-decalled (because I still dont know what it should have on it) & in battleship grey with a chromed fork. If anyone has any decal pics I would appreciate it??

I always wanted a 753 frame when I was a kid, as all the pro's had them. These look awesome.
