New Rivet leather saddles arrive in UK
Saddles from new American brand Rivet Cycleworks land in the UK this week and will be launched officially at the London Bike Show.
The new stock of saddles are made from premium waterproof American leather and use a cut out slot that is said to give the leather more flexibility and substantially reduce the break-in time. To avoid the flair often associated with cut out saddles, they are folded under the nose and riveted to help the saddle maintain its structure while avoiding thigh chafing.
The saddles are available in three styles and four colours and with a choice of cromoly or titanium rails. The top of the range Independence (above) comes with titanium rails and weighs in at 360g, making it one of the lightest leather saddles available. Matching leather saddlebags, mudflaps and bar tape with cork ends are also available.
Special introductory prices and some free Rivet socks will be available to the first few customers to visit Rivet at the London Bike Show this week.
Prices start at £95 for the Pearl cromoly rising to £225 for the Independence titanium.
