Sneak peek: New Vulpine clothing
We’ve got our grubby little mitts on pics of Vupine’s new clothing, including four men’s merino tops in four colours, and three new women’s styles.
Vulpine tell us that they have improved the fit and the pocket area of the Men's Merino Button Jersey (£80) after feedback.
They have left the Men’s Merino T-shirt (£55) unchanged.
They're still using 180gsm Tasmanian merino wool.
There’s a new V-neck version in the lineup, made from the same type of merino wool.
The Merino Alpine Jersey is new too.
It's a full zip jersey that Vupline say is Influenced by classic road cycling, hence the buttons on two of the rear pockets.
The new gear will be available on www.vulpine.cc once Customs and Excise let it through, hopefully in two to three weeks.
There are women's jackets, trousers and shorts in many colours arriving in July too, with more women’s styles to follow. Although Vulpine’s range has been largely male-orientated since its launch a year ago, the plan is for major expansion into the women’s market.
This is the women’s version of the Alpine Jersey.
And this is the Women’s Merino T-Shirt.
As in the men’s range, the Merino T will be available in a V-neck version too.
Further demonstrating the brand’s commitment to women’s cycling, Vulpine are supporting Matrix Fitness Racing Academy Team and the biggest women's race in the UK, the Bedford 3 Day.

Vulpine long sleeve merino T is the most comfortable bit of clothing I own. If they weren't so expensive I'd own a bunch of them by now - comfortable or no, I can't really justify a wardrobe full of £60 t shirts.
Have worn a Vulpine merino button jersey on some very long rides, and never suffered any itchiness at all.
Loving what looks to be a magnetic fastening on the Alpine Jersey collar...
Vulpine is a quality product well made and stillish.

I have an Icebreaker Merino Base that is lovely to wear as a vest under civvy clothes, lovely and comfortable and very warm..
Howvere I find on the bike it gets very wet, and contrary to popular opinion, it stays wet, I get a real chill after a couple of hours or so..
I like the t's in the shirt very much
Personally I've never had a problem with any merino layers, including sport wool blended jerseys and dhb base layers, and various buffs/collars. I've worn a dhb layer all day today just because its been so cold. Scabby old wool jumpers are itchy, these will be different.

its one of those 'you get what you pay for' situations!
Merino wool is great for racing. Nobody will beat you because you'll be so keen to get to the finish to take it off and stop the itching.
Depends on the type - I've a budget priced Descente jersey that feels like that - my Shutt VR jersey (the Velocast special edition one) and Vulpine T are both pretty comfortable.
I agree John, I have some Endura BaaBaa base layers that are super itchy!
I'm wearing Merino socks and a t-shirt right now, and the only itch I have is a medical condition
I have a fab Vulpine jersey & a BaaBaa baselayer, neither make me itch & I have very dry skin.
