It's fantasy Tour de France time! There's just one more day before the riders roll off the ramp in Corscia, and you can play along at home. Buckle up for a full-gas adventure through three weeks of hard-fought racing, and if you come out on top you could win all sorts of stuff.
We've teamed up with the chaps at Madison to bring you a prize pot worth over £2,500! There's loads of chances to win; let's have a look at the prizes...
First prize: a Genesis Equilibrium 20 road bike worth £1,300
We're doubly happy to be offering an Equilibrium as our Tour de France main prize. It's a great prize, for a start, but it's also a great bike. We reviewed the original version back in 2010 and loved it, and it's been a favourite round these parts ever since. The Equilibrium 20 features a Reynolds 725 steel frame and Shimano 105 transmission and it's a fantastic all-round bike for UK conditions. Just beat everyone else, and it's yours. How hard can that be?
Runners-up prizes: A Lazer helmet and eyewear package worth £270
The other two podium spots in the main game will be walking away with a great kit from Lazer. The prize is a top-end Helium helmet worth £179.99, and a pair of Magento specs worth £89.99. They're available in a range of colours and you can pick whichever you want if you're lucky enough to finish in the top three.
Purist prize: A Madison-Genesis team kit package worth £150
If you play for the full three weeks without making any transfers you'll be in the purist league: top dog after the Champs-Elysees showdown will walk away with a Madison-Genesis team kit package of a jersey and a pair of bib shorts.
Stage winners: A Truflo Mini-pump worth £24.99
Top scorer on every stage will net themselves a Truflo Road CNC high pressure mini pump worth £24.99. So even if you're not going to trouble the top of the leaderboard, there's a chance to win every day!
Win Shimano shoes just be entering!
Sound good? Thought so! On top of that, we have a pair of Shimano R170 road shoes worth £149.99 to give away and we'll ship them off to one random player who's picked a team before the start of the race. So you don't even need to be good at fantasy cycling to win that one. Just show up, and you're in the hat!
road.cc Fantasy Tour de France is now open. You need to be registered on the site to play. It's free to enter a team, or you can opt to pay £10 for the premium game which includes more features, and more tours throughout the year.
Good luck!
