Peter Sagan Green Edition Cannondale SuperSix Evo launched

Your chance to get your hands on a ‘green machine’ just like the one Sagan raced at the Tour de France

Now is to the time to act quickly if you want to get your hands on the just released Peter Sagan signature green edition Cannondale SuperSix Evo. Just 100 of these rather special bikes will be made, with the same finish and components as the bike Sagan raced on the final stage of the 2013. It’s a rare chance to own a slice of history.

The limited edition green machine - green to celebrate his winning of the Green jersey - will be brought into the UK in very limited numbers we’re told by Cannondale’s UK distributor Cycling Sports Group. If you want one, we suggest getting on the blower to your local dealer and getting your name down sharpish, we can’t imagine this will be sitting still long enough to gather dust.

Offered as a complete bike, the frame is the regular 695g SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod that the team race. It will be available in six sizes, 50 to 60cm - you won’t be able to get Sagan’s custom geometry, blending a 54cm head tube to a 58cm top tube to get the extreme position he demands.

You do though get more or less the same components, including a SRAM Red 22 groupset, Vision Metron 55 carbon clincher wheels with Peter Sagan limited edition Kenda Kountach 23mm tyres, Cannondale Hollowgram SiSL2 BB30 crankset, FSA K-Force Carbon Nano bars, stem and seatpost. A Fizik Aliante Peter Sagan Tour edition saddle completes the build. We’re waiting for confirmation of the price.

That’s not all, you get a few extras, which should help ease what is likely to be a very high price. The bike is provided with both standard 53/39 and compact 50/34 spider and chainrings for the Hollowgram crankset, Elite Race Cages and a SciCon AeroComfort 2.0 Travel Bike Case finished with Cannondale Pro Cycling stickers - that case alone is worth nearly £500.

(The bike in these photos isn't the signature edition, they are Sagan's actual Tour bike). More at www.cannondale.com

I dream of 'Greenie'....
actually not really interested in owning such a bike...
couldn't do it any justice and most folks would just think I was a plonker...all cash - no dash...etc...rather have a pair of Road.cc socks.... 105

I think that I really don't want to see a competition for this bike. Would hate to temper my cheers down for not winning it and not to win at the end ..... [long melancholic sigh fading away.......]

Surely only Sagan can ride this bike. Buying a Sagan replica bike is not different to wearing a Manchester United Wayne Rooney shirt. Its chav.

I'd be scared to ride that, in case it got dirty. Doesn't stop me wanting one though.
Santa list starts here!

Is this the same bike Sagan pulled the wheelie on Ventoux with?

Awesome rider.

Limited Edition eh? Well unless they change the points system for Le Tour there'll be another green Sagan special out next year and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that...

Mmm ... a 54cm head tube gives the bike Mr Sagan's preferred geometry, hey? That's certainly gonna give an 'extreme' position, as you put it. Still, it'll make him easy to spot in the bunch, for sure.

Looks awfully like €10k according to this. At least you get a 'free' bikebox, bargain! 21

Sorry chaps and chapettes, but I don't think road.cc are offering you the chance here to win one buckshea and for free!

That's just wishful thinking and yurp we're all guilty of that. But it sure would be a beast worth owning and one you'd be proud to ride - if you could afford the ticket tag!!

Oh well, back to Trek & Giant cheapos, I guess, thought it's nice to see that someone rode a Felt 1A to ironman victory. Or was it ironwoman victory - Mirinda? 41

I believe that is correct!

Considering the standard model is about 20x over my budget, I think I'll satisfy myself with the knowledge that I wouldn't be any quicker...

...no, don't ruin my dream. I wouldn't be quicker!

I expect to see The Hulk on the actual LE model, or why would you even bother?!
