Peter Sagan Green Edition Cannondale SuperSix Evo launched

Your chance to get your hands on a ‘green machine’ just like the one Sagan raced at the Tour de France

Now is to the time to act quickly if you want to get your hands on the just released Peter Sagan signature green edition Cannondale SuperSix Evo. Just 100 of these rather special bikes will be made, with the same finish and components as the bike Sagan raced on the final stage of the 2013. It’s a rare chance to own a slice of history.

The limited edition green machine - green to celebrate his winning of the Green jersey - will be brought into the UK in very limited numbers we’re told by Cannondale’s UK distributor Cycling Sports Group. If you want one, we suggest getting on the blower to your local dealer and getting your name down sharpish, we can’t imagine this will be sitting still long enough to gather dust.

Offered as a complete bike, the frame is the regular 695g SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod that the team race. It will be available in six sizes, 50 to 60cm - you won’t be able to get Sagan’s custom geometry, blending a 54cm head tube to a 58cm top tube to get the extreme position he demands.

You do though get more or less the same components, including a SRAM Red 22 groupset, Vision Metron 55 carbon clincher wheels with Peter Sagan limited edition Kenda Kountach 23mm tyres, Cannondale Hollowgram SiSL2 BB30 crankset, FSA K-Force Carbon Nano bars, stem and seatpost. A Fizik Aliante Peter Sagan Tour edition saddle completes the build. We’re waiting for confirmation of the price.

That’s not all, you get a few extras, which should help ease what is likely to be a very high price. The bike is provided with both standard 53/39 and compact 50/34 spider and chainrings for the Hollowgram crankset, Elite Race Cages and a SciCon AeroComfort 2.0 Travel Bike Case finished with Cannondale Pro Cycling stickers - that case alone is worth nearly £500.

(The bike in these photos isn't the signature edition, they are Sagan's actual Tour bike). More at www.cannondale.com
