Time of year never really matters when it comes to cycling. If I were to choose it would be spring and autumn.early morning or summer evening.
Spring.....the beginning of a new season.
winter - orange hued skylines, empty roads with fewer cars, crisp mornings and being able to see steam rise off your body when you stop after a hard base ride.
Can't beat a cold, crisp winter morning.
Early autumn when you still have evening light for a post work ride but it starts getting chilly.
spring - you can feel the form coming... won't be long now.
Summer - because I can go to the Alpes!
Summer for sure! Makes for light, breezy commuting.
I'm definitely one for Spring rides. None of that having to force myself out in the cold and rain, but nice and cool to encourage harder efforts without the discomfort of Summer heat. Roll on the Spring!
Summer, plenty of light to be cycling before or after work.
Winter. Crisp frosty mornings, crunch of snow under tyres, seeing breath in the air
spring - that first ride in shorts after months of cold wet leggings and neoprene overshoes!
Summer!
Summer. Warm, sunny evenings going out to explore new places without having to bring wet weather gear. Sun-dappled trees. Fellow road users being easy going, and fewer cars.
Winter when it is dry and crisp
Summer! Being able to finish work at 5pm and still have time to go out for a long ride in the evening!
Spring!! Not too warm and long days!
My fav season is the one that wins me the most swag!
Seriously, high summer as hot as you like.
Spring time for me, longer days return and the Classics get going.
Summer, more daylight hours...
Spring for the optimism of a coming season,
Summer for the warmth, light and longer days
Autumn for the colours of life
Winter to cut through the endless greys.
WINTER FOR MOUNTAIN BIKING...MUDDY!!
SUMMER FOR THE ROAD...CLEAN!!
Very early spring is definitely a favourite; the ice and snow are gone and the promise of the new season picks you up and gives you a kick of speed.
Ohhh yes please.
What is 'season'? In the UK? You havin' a larf'?
Spring. The goldilocks season... not too hot... not too cold
I love early spring - that day that you realise winter has released its grip and the sun actually has a bit of warmth in it. You start fantasising about the months of cycling in the *warmth* that lie ahead.
Winter, so I can pile on every piece of Vulpine clothing I win!
It has to be spring. That first early morning ride, when the air smells fresh and the sun actually feels warm on the back of your neck...
Summer - warm weather, more daylight.
